Currently I am working in UAE under Employment Visa for three years. My position is to oversee the Middle East market in providing the following services. Providing Routine preventive maintenance, servicing and commissioning of all electrical switchboard/switchgear (450Vac to 6600Vac), alarm and monitoring system, fire detection and generator automatic control system for shipyard and offshore market. On top of that, my job includes liaising and interacting with clients on a daily basis to provide technical support and solutions. One of my duties is to oversee the inquiries, surveys and quotations for retrofit works and supervising various construction, maintenance and services (onshore / offshore), marine, oil and gas and petrochemical projects. Managing the coordination and assignation teams of service engineers and technicians for jobs and ensure completion on time. Lastly being Responsible for ensuring customers’ satisfaction with our after sales services & maintain service revenue growth.

In my former job as an Electrical Engineer, my main areas of focus were in formulating, developing and implementing the maintenance of electrical related equipment found in the Chemical Plant producing Polymers to Wharehouse Packing. I have had excellent opportunities to work directly with various contractors in commissioning on their respective electrical systems. As an Electrical Engineer, I was also responsible for the daily and smooth operational matters of the Plant in keeping them in optimal operation at all times. The job scope involved the operation, maintenance, overhaul, testing, repair and installation of all types of electrical equipment in the 22KV Sub-station; supervision and/or design of engineering works and the preparation of reports, system procedures, and collection of statistics. Also included was the planning schedule for the preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance work of the Plant and arranging job assignments to the respective Contractors. Planning of budget for purchasing and tendering of equipment spares for the next financial year, including maintenance contracts. Involved as a Safety committee member, ISO9001:2000 and ISO14001:1996 Internal Auditor. The new target plan is to achieve OSHAS ISO18001:1999.
