Responsible for
1. Responsible for overall in charge for construction of vessel, Installation of equipments, Installation of pipelines with pressure test and laise with class items (pipe laying barge)
2. Responsible for Plan, Schedule and Execute the Erection and Installation of all Mechanical equipments and Machineries fitted onboard Semi-Submersible Rigs and Jack up rigs built by us.
3. Laise with Ship owners and Equipment suppliers.
4. Check the drawings and Vendor certified documents/ Installation instruction Manuals to ensure the correct procedure is followed.
5. Conduct meeting with engineering department as and when any interference is noticed in the Mechanical Installation drawings and resolve the issues.
6. Ensure storage and preservation procedures as stipulated by the Equipment manufacturer is followed until the installed machineries commissioned.
7. Alignment of Installed machineries viz. Main Generators, Anchor winches, Pumps and other equipments.
8. Installation of Jacking motors, pre-start up Checks and alignment data measurement and recording.
9. Commissioning of vessel equipments, such as, Main generators, AHU’s, Sewage treatment plants, Water maker, Pumps., Fire systems.
10. Measurement of Backlash readings of the Jacking motor pinion with the Rack.
11. Assign work to contractors, monitoring the progress to meet the Project schedule.
12. Control of Departmental and Contractor manpower.
13. Responsible for Inventory control, ordering of spares if any.
14. Co-ordination with the vendors for effective Mechanical Completion (MC) as per the laid down procedure and as per Class requirements
15. Department daily & monthly activity report preparing & up-keeping.
16. Coordinator for small group activity, TPM & Safety.
17. Liaise with staff in case study & upgrading projects.
