Professional Experience
Projects Experience- Currently working with British Gas (BG) Exploration & Production India Ltd as Lead Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation as part of the Engineering group of the Projects Management Team. This team is responsible for the execution of large turnkey Oil & Gas projects for the Company.Joined the company, formerly Enron Oil & Gas India Ltd. in August 1995 as Maintenance Engineer – Instrumentation on their offshore oil & gas processing platforms in the Arabian Sea, Mumbai offshore. The assets were taken over by British Gas plc UK in 2002. my current role is to manage the Electrical&Instrumentation Engineering functions of multiple projects during the various phases of project development viz;FEED Detailed Design,Construction, Commissioning & final Handover to operations’. The primary job responsibilities include-Managing ongoing turnkey project’s Electrical&Instrumentation activities to cost, time, quality and HSSE indicators, Review of Electrical and Instrumentation deliverables from engineering/construction contractors and vendors ranging from Front End Engineering to Commissioning and handover to Operations,Review of reports, studies, calculations and judgments performed by vendors/engineering contractors and advising recommendations,Providing technical inputs to tender packages and Evaluation of technical bid proposals for projects ranging from the EPIC type to Brownfield modification / upgrade projects,Attendance at Vendor FATs,Development of Company specifications and standards with a view to include the lessons learnt while operating the ongoing assets,Keeping abreast with the latest technology advances and identifying areas to implement those with a view to benefit the ongoing operations and projects-Technical support to ongoing operations,Management of Change-Development of Company approved vendor list taking into account the feedback of ongoing operations,Liaison with Vendor and engineering contractors.Worked until early 2003 as Manager-Maintenance on the company’s Offshore Oil&Gas production platforms and reporting to the Offshore Installation Manager.Joined the company, formerly Enron Oil & Gas India Ltd. in August 1995 as Maintenance Engineer–Instrumentation on their offshore oil & gas processing platforms. Was elevated to Lead Engineer (Instrumentation & Electrical) in March 1999 followed by Manager (Maintenance)-in March 2001.
