-Worked as well geologist on the offshore & onshore oil drilling rig.
-Analyzing, evaluating and describing formations while drilling using cuttings, gas, FEMWD (formation evaluation measurement while drilling) and Wireline data.
-Identifying lithostratigraphic formation boundaries, casing setting depths and coring points calling for coring on shows and gas.
-Advising on drilling hazards and drilling bit optimization.
-Supervising mudlogging and wireline services personnel.
-Monitoring quality control in relation to mudlogging and wireline services.
-Keeping detailed records and writing reports.
-Undertaking evaluation of offset data before beginning drilling
-Liaising with drilling engineers, petroleum engineers and mudloggers.
-Training staff as required.
-Supervising one or more wells in the same area.
-Evaluation of Gas & Hydrocarbon shows (Odor,Staining,Natural flourscence,Cut fluorescence)
-Pore pressure evaluation
-Performing wet & dry sample description.
-Checking for fluorescence & cut in dry & wet sample.
-Calculation of Shale density & Shale factor to predict the overpressure zone.
-Continuous touch with mudlogger and updating the master log.
-Calibrating the Gas chromatograph (GC) & Total hydrocarbon analysis (THA).
-Supervising the coring & collection of sample
-Thorough knowledge of all rig operation from the spudding of the well to production stage.
-Submitting the various sort of report - morning, evening, daily, monthly etc to the base office.
-Preparation of well completion report and submitting to the higher official.
-Preparation of Mater log & composite log.
-Interpretation of Wireline log.
-Good knowledge in VSP.
-Have a thorough knowledge on all the rig instruments
-Have a thorough knowledge on all the day to day rig operation.
