ROTATING EQUIPMENT ENGINEER

To obtain a position of high responsibility and integral requirement to fulfil my ambitions in the Oil & Petrochemical Industries.

My employment background has provided me with a wide and varied knowledge in the complex field of Mechanical Engineering. Confident, adaptable and achievement orientated individual with strong computer, written and verbal communication skills.
Over the past 30 years I have proven that I possess the ability to adjust to various employment situations both in the UK and overseas.

My rotating and static equipment experiences have entailed ensuring the technical integrity of pumps, compressors, gearboxes, turbines, fans, boilers, production tanks, columns, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels writing planned maintenance and inspection procedures for each item of equipment to Lloyd’s Register satisfaction. I always ensured compliance with internationally recognized specifications of each country and continent, together with the ongoing Health, Safety and Environment policies.

Site management contracts of major international contractors and co-ordination of all mechanical, instrument and electrical work installations. Always ensured compliance with the clients specifications during on going projects have involved many Capital projects: Ras Tanura Refinery expansion, Shaybah Oilfield development, Juaymah Gas Plant upgrade, Safaniyah/Tanajib Offshore Field Development and Abqaiq Plants CDS upgrades and the first "Gas injection and Reclamation" project in the world, all in Saudi Arabia. Construction of Power stations, Production stations, Gathering stations, Blower stations and Enhanced Oil Projects, water, hot water, steam, gas and polymer injection all in Sultanate of Oman. My present position is as a member of the Project Management Consultancy team employed on Vietnam’s first grass roots refinery being constructed at Dung Quat, Quang Ngai Province.

During my varied career I have prepared the scopes of work for design engineering contracts and assisted in their evaluations. I have ensured that the appropriate piping materials specifications have been selected and used. I have also selected and reviewed equipment selected for installation.

I am also familiar with the relevant specs and codes used in the petrochemical industries. (IP, API, ANSI, ASTM, ASME, BS, ISO, NACE, etc.) I am a charismatic team player at all levels and a mature professional, who motivates by example. I have a vast experience of Multi-cultural work environments.
