Professional Experience

1. Business Strategy Formulation and Development for the Specialty Gas and Laboratory market in South East Asia/Pacific countries (Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Brunei, Australia). Currently working on market development in Middle East region, Syria, Egypt, Cambodia and Myanmar.

2. Implementation / Review of Regional Marketing and Growth Strategies to achieve sales and operating profit targets, and keeping abreast of latest competitors’ movement/activities.

3. Active Sales / Marketing, e.g. SOXAL manufactured reference calibration mixtures for use in gas chromatography, process gases; electronic gases like silane, ammonia, boron trifluoride for use in the wafer fab and primary foundries, Environmental Protocol Agency (US) compliant gases. Equipment includes gas-cabinets for use in wafer fabs; customers include Reliance (India), gas regulating equipment, calibration gas test-kit tools.


4. Maintaining Customer Contact and Understanding Customers’ needs, with focus in petrochemical industry, wafer fab and laboratory end-users. Major regional customers include:
- Rohm Electronics, Fairchild Semiconductor, Sunpower, Petron and Shell (Philippines)
- PT Pertamina, TOTAL, Chevron, Honda (Indonesia)
- Petronas, Shell, Epcos, MIMOs (Malaysia)
- BLNG, Shell and TOTAL (Brunei)
- Reliance (India)
- UMC (Taiwan)

5. Providing Technical Support to Customers through regular customer visits, presentations/technical training via regional seminars and workshops. Invited for a petrochemical technical presentation at “InterLaboratory Conference in Kalimantan (Indonesia)” in Q306

6. Well-Versed in Export Sales and Inter-Company Sales, as well as individual markets’ local practices. Certificate of Participation for course on INCOTERMS 2000, awarded by Singapore Institute of Chamber and Commerce in 2005.
