Responsibilities:
ľ Visual inspections of all the electrical equipments, ensure that effective maintenance of tagging, LOTO and color coding system must be maintained and followed.
ľ Records shall be maintained, as appropriate to the system and to the organization to demonstrate conformance to the OHSAS specification.
ľ Ensure that personnel shall be competent to perform tasks that may impact on OH&S in the workplace. Competency in terms of education, training and/or experience.
ľ Advise the site management and work force regarding all Environment Health and Safety matters to follow up proactive standards.
ľ Ensuring that the importance of conformance to the OH&S policy and procedures and to the requirements of the OH&S management systems.
ľ Conducting visual inspections on PLANT/EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY/LIFTING EQUIPMENT ACCESSORIES, record keeping of all the validity documents of the same.
ľ Consolation over changes affecting work place OH&S such as the introduction of new or modified equipment, materials, and chemicals.
ľ To hold regular meetings with the site supervisors with in the department on topical safety issues and initiate or recommended action where appropriate.
