Field Service Engineer
Working as a Field Service Engineer in ABB Turbochargers. Member of ABB Regional Service Team, Dubai; one of the world leading organizations in power generation and related business. Have been exclusively trained in Switzerland and Dubai for the installation, overhauling, diagnostic investigation and related repairs of high-speed exhaust gas turbines.
Responsibilities;
In general my job responsibilities in Pakistan is to provide technical after sales services to client which includes in house and on site maintenance / repair of exhaust gas
turbine, reporting and feedback on the equipment to the principal. Besides this I am also backup Field Service Engineer for Dubai Region which includes Seven countries.
On site job responsibilities are;
1) Dismantling and assembly of all kinds of ABB exhaust gas turbines installed on engines ranging from 1.3 MW to 48 MW
2) Dismantling and assembly of Bearing and Pumps with control values.
3) Troubleshooting & Breakdown maintenance of high speed exhaust gas turbines.
4) Preparation of service reports.
5) Preparing Preventive/Overhauling parts list for smooth operation of customer exhaust gas turbines.
In Workshop my responsibilities are;
1 Dynamic balancing of turbine shafts and compressors on the state of the art SCHENCK CAB 690 balancing m/c.
2 Diagnostic inspections of complete rotor assemblies.
3 Carry out repair activities including re-blading the turbine rotors,replacement of labyrinth seals and shaft repairs by thermal welding (metal spray).
4 Reporting and feedback on the equipment to the principal.
