Duties: I manage a multi-discipline team of 16 full time employees, and up to 50 contractors during T/A’s and construction projects, consisting of operations, mechanical, instrumentation electrical automation and our planner/Scheduler. Budget forecasting and control, weekly production/maintenance calls to Calgary facilitate best practices sharing with in the BP group world wide. My work load is organized in part with the help of a computerized maintenance management system (MAXIMO). I built our PM program utilizing both predictive and preventive technology. I also created a competency check lists for my team, millwrights/mechanics/instrumentation and created safe work procedures for the millwrights/mechanics. I facilitate Root Cause Failure Analysis on all Major equipment failures. I am also responsible for Performing advanced safety audits on workers at various job sites in the field and take an active role in all PHA’s. Finally, I liaise with the materials Technician to ensure we have the “right” parts available in stock, including the identification of critical spare parts vs. parts available over night from suppliers.

Prior duties: I supervised a multi discipline maintenance team consisting of instrumentation, electrical, automation, calibrations and rotating equipment personal, the previous 10 years include specializing in engine and compressor overhaul and troubleshooting, mostly on Waukesha and Caterpillar engines, and Ariel. Worthington, and Cooper compressors I have extensive experience with gas turbines from basic PM's to blade inspections including complete rotor removal and installation on both Orenda and Solar turbines. Likewise, I have extensive experience with York centrifugal compressors, from basic PM's to complete overhauls. I have worked with a verity of pumps and have been involved with laser alignment on some of the equipment. I spent time on our Mechanical Integrity team and was a key player for our RCM program, (R.C.M.). I spent 2 years as an operator / maintenance man. I spent 1 1/2 years prior, as the process safety management coordinator and performed Process Hazard Analysis (HAZOP’s) on all the plant equipment. I still facilitate many P.H.A's done on new equipment and installations in the field. I have written many maintenance and operation procedures for our procedure guide book. I built and administered the first web page for the Kaybob plant, to host all the operations, maintenance and safety procedures.
