Professional Experience
I presently direct and lead the facility engineering group providing support for a 40 Bcf cycle natural gas storage facility. The engineering group is responsible to ensure that the storage facility is designed, constructed and operated safely and in an environmentally responsible manner in accordance with all applicable codes. Projects in the last five years include installation of 406 mm gathering line, ultrasonic meter station, wellsite compression and various streamlining, safety and improvement projects.
At Imperial Oil I was responsible to execute project management, pre-planning, cost estimating, surveillance and follow-up for exploratory and development drilling projects for the Norman Wells business unit. Surveillance and drilling and completion programming on Rainbow Lake, Cold Lake and Boundary Lake wells. Provide leadership to Drilling & Completions Technical Services group regarding Operations Integrity business practices. Provide mentorship to two engineers-in-training.
While at Huffco Indonesia I was responsible for preparation of all budgets and work programs for development and exploratory drilling as well as contracts administration within the drilling department. Additional duties included preparation of drilling programs, government approvals, casing design, AFE preparation, cement programs, equipment selection, material inventory and control and all other aspects relating to a multi-rig onshore operation. Well depths varied from 5000-12000 feet.
