Professional Experience
REFINERY PRODUCT SCHEDULING:
Scheduling of Sea-borne evacuation of products from refinery
•Responsible for Timely evacuation of products as allocated for exports, ILP and captive requirements
•Carries out emergency evacuation of captive cargoes, when necessary to sustain refinery production
•Close watch on products which are evacuated by domestic as well as export market and avoid conflict situations
•Review the daily MIS of light and middle distillate statements and ensure the correctness of the report relating to the evacuation program.
TRADING -OPERATIONS:
•Ensure that all obligations arising from the contract (FOB, CFR, CIF etc) / charter party are carried out, and that any necessary requirements are compiled with.
•Deal with cargo and freight counter-parties, terminals and vessels on a regular basis regarding all post-deal activities ensuring all necessary operational information is passed on in good time and documentary requirements are met.
•Make cargo and vessel nominations, prepare and send voyage orders and monitor progress of vessels.Appoint independent inspectors and ships agents, identifying their roles & responsibilities
•Ensure that all Operational Information is entered into trading systems (TEMPEST, SAP) in timely fashion and ensure that adequate records are kept to meet the company’s legal and fiscal obligations.
•Handling claims viz. demurrage claims, claim on suppliers etc
TANKER SCHEDULING & MANGEMENT
•Dovetail Scheduling of Time charter vessels to appropriate voyages to ensure that they are properly utilized while meeting the necessary contractual obligations with the suppliers.
•Drawing out the requirement for Voyage charter vessel depending on the cargo requirement & tanker market while ensuring the overall logistics cost is maintained at minimum levels.
•Giving Voyage orders, tank cleaning instructions to the vessel owner/Master to ensure that operations are smooth.
•Evaluating bunkering economics & making provision for the Time Charter vessels.
RETAIL COASTAL SUPPLY SCHEDULING
•Coordinating with the marketing group for the retail product HSD/MS/ATF demand to be met through imports/ refinery.
•Scheduling & optimizing the cargo size to be imported based on port restrictions of Indian costs, stowage obtained from the vessel & the freight applicable to the cargo lot.
