Technical skills in Piping Design:

1 Pressure/Temperature rating calculations for internal Pressures of piping and piping components as per ASME B31.3.
2 Pipe rack and support design.
3 Tank form design.
4 Reinforcement pad calculations.
5 Preparation of Piping Plan, Isometrics based on P & ID and plant layout.
6 Pressure design of pipelines as per ASME B 31.4 and ASME B31.8.
7 Zero level MTO and bulk MTO
8 Piping material specifications, classes and Valve data sheets
9 Proficient in P & IDs, Equipment drawings, Plot plan, Equipment layout, General Arrangement drawings (sections and elevations), Isometrics, Spool drawings (sections and elevations).
10 Leak testing by Hydrostatic leak testing.
11 Static and dynamic analysis of piping systems.
12 High Pressure Piping.

PROJECT WORK:

Presented a project on “Study of fly ash extractor – Electrostatic Precipitator”, done at National Thermal Power Corporation-Ramagundam Super Thermal Power Station (NTPC-RSTPS). Electrostatic Precipitator is used to extract the huge amount of fly ash (i.e., 80% of the total ash) escaping out of the boiler along with the flue gases, obtained after burning coal in the boiler furnace in thermal power plant. It has a high collecting efficiency. The detailed design, operation, and factors influencing the performance have been studied. Few modifications have been suggested to increase its efficiency.
