Project Engineer

Position where my work experience and skills will add value.

Representative of projects team in Libya, since the engineering and procurement activities done in London, my main duties are:
• Establishing good relationship with client.
• Attend client meetings, taking the client comments and follow up the required actions.
• Liaising visas, dessert passes, accommodations, and transportations for project team coming from our main office, also coordination of client meetings on site “dessert” and in the office.
• Gate point for documents flows from the client to our main office “London” and visa verse.
• Follow up of all correspondences between our main office and the client, take the necessary action if required, and advise the project manager of any client requirements that has been overseen.
For the following projects:
• EPC Compressor Station and Facilities -103A Gas Transmission Pipeline to Coastal Network. 70M Euro
• Construction and Installation of 103A LP Gas Compression Station 14MEuro
• New Fuel Gas Line Brega Zuetina Terminal 8M Euro

Project Management duties include:
• Thinking carefully about what to accomplish, laying out all the steps, and obtaining the resources required to carry out those steps. Respond to the problems, delays, changes, and obstacles arise during the execution of a project. Finding out what really happened, how much was actually accomplished, what remains to be done, and who will be available to do it, using project management software, and be prepared for contingency plans that can handle the inevitable everyday realities of running the project.
• Presenting the project to upper management clearly and convincingly that makes it easier to obtain their support when needed.
• Coordinate between subcontractors and our construction team
• Meeting with the clients in order to assure our performance satisfaction
For the following projects:
o Replacement of Halon fire protection system with FM200 Project: $200,000
o Project: Converting dry good store to meeting Room $55,800

Tendering duties:
• Evaluating material and subcontractors prices in order to estimate projects and closing tenders.

Management duties:
• ISO 9000 steering committee member who are responsible to implement ISO in order for the company to be ISO 9001:2000 certified.

13-17/05/07 Pencol Engineering Consultant (Penspen Libya) Tripoli, Libya
• 5 days international workshop in Defect Assessment in Pipelines. Topics covered in the workshop is:
- Methods available to assess the significance of defects detected in onshore and offshore pipelines.
- Simple analytical methods used to assess Internal and External Corrosion, Dents and Gouges, Cracks (e.g. SCC), Weld Defects, and Fatigue
- Set intelligent pig inspection levels
- Repairs and risk management.

• 3 days course at the end I got certified as internal auditor for ISO 9000.

2001-2002 North Trafford Collage Manchester, UK
• English as Foreign Language.


1990-1998 Al-Fateh University Tripoli, Libya
• BSc Mechanical Engineering. With average grade point 68.72%
(Thesis: Natural convection in vertical cylinder.).

05/07-09/07 TUV AKademie Middle East Tripoli, Libya
• Master's Certificate in Project Management awarded by The Cambridge International College. The Core Project Management Curriculum consists of 5 hereunder modules; each module is 5 days course.
