In geological camp we prepare the localized geological map of the abbottabad area and indicate a major fault in this area. We prepare spot height sections at outcrops. Identification of rock units and different structures like folds, faults, joints, bedding plane, joint plane, anticlines, synclines, molds, karsts, etc remain major area of concentration in this camp. We also visit manshehra granite for one day during this camp.
• 15 Days Surveying Camp, Abbottabad. 2005.
In this camp we prepare the topographic map of the area using traversing, triangulation and plane tabling techniques. The principle instruments which we use there are engineer’s transit, engineer’s level, plane table, EDM and magnetic compass.
