HSE Manager

To impart knowledge and experience in safety, health, environment, fire and security in oil & gas related industries.

ISMAIL BIN MOHD NOH has been involved in the field of Health and Safety Environment (HSE) since 1985. Ismail has a vast experience in the field of HSE. His career started as a Safety Engineer at MALAYSIA SHIPYARD AND ENGINEERING SDN BHD (MSE), Johor. In 1989, he moved on to SARAWAK SHELL BERHAD, Miri, Sarawak as a Safety Officer. He joined TITAN PETROCHEMICALS (M) SDN BHD Johor as Safety Superintendent from 1992-1999. Then, he became a HSE Manager at BASF PETRONAS CHEMICALS SDN BHD, Pahang until 2006 when he joins back MALAYSIA MARINE HEAVY ENGINEERING SDN BHD for a short stint. Presently, he is a HSE Manager at NAM FATT OIL & GAS SDN BHD.

„X Distribution, compilation and submission of quarterly accident statistics report to regional office.
„X Preparation and submission of environment monitoring reports and water discharge data drom waste water treatment plants to Department of Environment.
„X Compilation and submission of annual report for Responsible Care for RC Database to regional office.
„X Preparation and development of procedures for site HSE manual, schedulling waste management and site ERP incorperationg ICS.
„X Organization of quarterly management safety audits and plant safety walkabouts
„X Organization of drills and ensuring all fire fighting equipment are in good working order.
„X Organization of desk top drills for management team.
„X Represented as Responsible CARE expert in BASF Asia Pacific meetings.
„X Presented in Malaysia COSH 2004, 2005 & 2007 as well as other conferences in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore
„X Coordinated quarterly safety inspection of process, utility and terminal/naphtha storage areas.
„X Led job safety anlaysis of lifting jobs using mobile cranes over live units.
„X Monitored dept, shifts and sections safety meetings on a monthly basis and compile safety concerns from the meetings.
„X Conducted safety orientation and briefings to contractors and new hires.

He graduated in B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, USA in 1984.

Registered Safety & Health Officer (SHO) with Malaysian Government, Certified Trainer with Malaysian National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health. Radiation Safety Officer. Competent Scaffolding Inspector.
