Well versed with international codes and standards such as ASME B31.3 ASME SEC V, II A, B, C, IX API 1104 AWS D 1:1 with respect to welding inspection and QA/QC activity. Adept with P & ID, Isometric Drawings as well as Knowledge of welding symbols and geometry.

Steering initiatives towards achieving organisational goals with chief responsibilities pertaining to ensuring adherence to approved welding procedures, conducting training of welders, conducting fit up and dimension inspections, interviewing and selecting welders as well as undertaking workshop verification of welding machines and electrode baking and storage to ensure all equipments meet job requirement specifications.

Witnessing procedure and performance qualifications as per the applicable codes and standards.Monitoring the welding parameters of different process (GTAW, SMAW) in accordance with approved WPS.Ensuring that welders are performing with respect to the approved WPS.Coordinating repair of vendor supplied materials.Preparing welding surveillance reports as per WPS.
Monitoring of welds and follow-up of NDT requirements.
Witnessing MPI, DPT, UT tests. Review if isometric drawing and isometric control sheets prior to testing. QC clearance and release of test packages for pressure test.Ensuring that fit up and welding activities are carried out in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
Coordinating with client inspectors during inspection and witnessing of pressure tests.Conducting procedure and performance qualification tests as per AWS D1.Ensuring that the welders are properly qualified in accordance with applicable code.Preparing of PQR, witnessing and monitoring of PQR, WPQT and Mechanical testing of Test Specimen.
