Started the mud engineer career in EMEC international company ,work in KSA at many rigs
My rig is pool arabia 115 exploration rig working now in manifa which is a new project for aramco company.MY RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDED

• Initiates and recommends the proper & efficient mud programme for the rig operations.
• Performs field supervision on the mud system in use ensuring its compliance to the approved programme.
• Updates well information based on data from drilling reports. Such information includes depth of well, properties of chemicals, amount and cost of materials used etc.
• Estimates the mud materials and chemicals required for drilling each phase. Includes estimating tonnage per material, per well and recommends estimates for ordering from stores.
• Performs other related duties such as discussing mud related problems on the rig.
• Knows the company Health, Safety and Environmental Policy, Procedures, Regulations and Objectives as they relate to his/her areas of responsibility. Ensures that work under his/her control is performed in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Conducts effective accident investigation and follow up. Implements specific Safety Management System.
• Program activities assigned to me.
• Checks the mud properties periodically and reports the properties in the Daily Mud Report.
• Ensures that adequate stock of mud chemicals is available on the rig.
• Signs the loading notes for the mud chemicals received from the stores after checking the quality and quantity of these materials.
• Fills the weekly Mud Report based on the mud chemicals received/used daily.
• Complete the Mud Cost Report based and the Mud Materials Used and Transferred Report.
• Ensures that loading/off-loading, stocking/re-stocking mud chemicals at the well-site is done properly and carefully.
