Work Experiences

Presently working with ABB Limited, Nerul., INDIA in the Turbocharger Business as Manager - Service & Repairs in Marine, Diesel & Gas based power generation plants.




Job Responsibilities


1. Assigned with leading a team of 7 Service engineers for installation, retrofit, application engineering, services, trouble shooting, and modification & after sales, of turbo chargers of various ranges from 150 Kw to 25,000 Kw.

2. Also assigned with leading a team of 3 Workshop Service engineers for undertaking special task, such as
Computerised Dynamic, Thermal & Index balancing of Turbo rotors.
Supervising Metallising of high precision areas like bearing seating dia etc.
Re-blading of Rotor Shafts of Turbo machineries.

3. To deal with government /private customers like Shipping Corporation of India, Indian Railways, Indian Navy, Wartsila India, MAN B&W, DUETS, MAK etc for conducting the preventive and routine maintenance of turbochargers at client sites..

4. Responsible for delivering prompt and efficient services to the customers by responding to their calls quickly and solving their technical queries in an impressive way.

5. To co- ordinate with Network countries ABB Service Stations for catering to Overhauling & Repairs of Turbochargers onboard Vessels of Indian origin in foreign waters.

6. To co- ordinate with Network countries ABB Service Stations for catering to Overhauling & Repairs of Turbochargers onboard Vessels of Foreign Origin in Indian waters.

7. To meet the Targets for Order Booking, Revenue & Collection.

Achievements:-


• Deputation to ABB, Dubai service station as Senior Service Engineer for the period from January 16, 2007 – February 15, 2007 and November 17, 2006 – December 29, 2006.


• Deputation to ABB, Srilanka service station for the period 28 days (November, 2004). Successfully completed the set up for new balancing machines for turbocharger rotors and trained local engineers for operating the same. Studied the existing customer requirements and the scope of business growth in Sri Lanka and presented the same to Management.
