More than 6 years experience in Project / Process Engineering within Refining, Chemicals and petrochemicals industry projects. Experience in Project / Process Engineering includes the following areas:
-FEED and Detailed engineering design ( Gasoline Merox Unit )
-Flare relocation study review and path forward.
-Interface engineering
-Engineering liaison with Process Licensors – Process Consultancy Services / UOP.
-Preliminary Designing of Pumps, Vessels, Preliminary Layout,
-Design review of P&IDs, Design review of Equipments and Instruments datasheets.

Dec 2003 till date: ESSAR OIL REFINERY, INDIA Manager ( Projects / Process )
-Working as Gasoline Merox Unit Project Manager
-Responsible for interface engineering (Development and management).
-Engineering liaison with PCS/UOP, NEERI .
-Engineering co-ordination with Technip, Stone & Webster Rolta for timely completion of projects.
-Responsible for quality and timely delivery of engineering deliverables.
-Responsible for Co-ordination between Construction and Operation group with engineering consultants.
-Review of Flare load study for the refinery complex for revised loads and relocation of existing flare.
-Coordination with National Environment & Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) and providing information about the refinery to attain environmental clearance from Government of India .
Jan 2001 to Sept 2002 : Reliance Industries Limited (REAL)Process Engineer
-Process detail engineering, Designing experience as Process engineer for Revamp of VGO – Hydrotreater for 650 KBPSD , in world’s largest grass root refinery –Reliance Petroleum Limited – India.
-Worked on field change orders of various units Like VGO Hydrotreater , Aromatics , Coker , Refinery tank farm , Marine Tank farm for operational flexibility and reliability.

The total work consists of 1)Insulation adequency study of LP steam lines leading to SGU from Sulfur Unit. 2)Heat loss calculation as well as pressure drop calculation across the line from SGU to Sulfur .3)Field study leading to conclusion that steam traps were not working properly – as a result , suggestions were made for proper maintenance of steam traps and SOP was updated. A Knock out Drum was designed along with Desuperheater to separate LP steam from condensate .
•TAME debottlenecking detail engineering work. The work includes adequacy checking of the Pentene column circuits to increase the output of TAME.
Work starts with receiving of Design Basis. Adequacy check for all related circuits including pumps, control valves, line sizes and other items were done for the revised flow rates. Accordingly data sheets were revised along with P&IDs, LDTs , Tie in schedule. Hazop was performed and related comments are being incorporated in P&IDs.
•Steam condensate system study :Undergoing steam condensate system study in aromatics area as this plant is facing erosion corrosion problem. Work includes line sizing which involves two phase flow calculations. Specifying control valve data sheets, calculation of % flash across control valves etc.
-Actively participated in HAZOP session for Revamp in VGO Hydrotreater , TAME and CDU/VDU plant and worked as a scribber.
