21 years full and comprehensive experience up to the position of Clients Rep, Senior Coating and Painting Inspector, within the oil/gas industry in the UK, USA, Russia, Europe, Middle East, North & West Africa and South America onshore and offshore.
Duties have included, Site Rep and supervision and monitoring of Coating inspectors for daily work in progress to pipelines, LNG plant, process pipework, tanks, vessels, and risers. Site safety is always paramount.
Inspection of CTE and concrete coating, EPDM coated risers and pipe support clamps, Neoprene, Thermotite, Hermotite, PU, 3 and 5 layer PP and Cuni, metal spraying of SGB’s and various sizes of pipes. Special baked Syntactic foam insulation factory coatings for subsea linepipe. Hot bend work FBE, flame spraying of PP and PU, MCL also Shrink Sleeve and PU injection of field joint coatings. Impact tests of Concrete, PU, 3 and 5 layer PP and FBE coated pipe Surface profiles, salt checks, cleanliness checks, Holiday detection, adhesion check, DSC’S, dolly pull tests are some of the requirements of the specs.
