Production Supervisor

Optimise production in a safe, efficient and economic manner

(a) Ensuring the safe and environmentally acceptable operation of all plant equipment both onshore and offshore.
(b) Ensuring correct and effective operation of the permit to work system.
(c) Production reporting, upkeep of records and logbooks, recording of isolations and effective hand over of information to the following shift.
(d) Ensuring that export product specifications are within limits while on shift.
(e) Carrying out emergency duties.
(f) Ensuring an adequate stock of production chemicals and other consumables.
(g) Monitoring and controlling the flow of hydrocarbons via DCS from the reservoir to point of export.
(h) Operating all utilities and systems.
(i) Minimising downtime and achieving production targets.
(j) Preparing production reports.
(k) Carrying out mechanical isolation, gas tests and work-site inspection.
(l) Developing safety culture by regular safety meetings, training programmes and toolbox talks.
(m) Compliance with the management system, maintenance system and the case for safe operations.
(n) Compliance with quarterly well management programme.
(o) Ambient air quality monitoring.
(p) Performing duty as an Offshore Team Leader (OTL).
(q) As an OPITO certified Assessor, train up operations personnel and assess them to help develop their competency.
(r) Detail studies of process, finding out areas of improvement & potential causes of upsets to suggest ways to eliminate, minimise and/or control those to allow unhindered operations.
(s) Prepare and review plant operating procedures, SIMOPS along with HAZID and HAZOPS studies.
(t) Review and update HSE/BMS manual.

Experience:

(a) Experiences of new plant commissioning, start-up and shutdown.
(b) Emergency management/fire fighting training.
(c) Onshore/offshore operations experience since 1st Feb 1998.
(d) Industrial corrosion control and its environmental impact training from TICI, Gorashal, Narshingdi.
(e) Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) training in Ravva Oil & Gas field, India.
(f) Achievement of 9 million man-hours without Lost Time Incident (LTI).
(g) Well services i.e., coiled tubing sand cleanout operation, perforation, production logging, reservoir saturation logging, surface sand influx test & SIMOPS (drilling and production).
(h) DCS training.
(i) Sea survival training, Johor, Malaysia.

BSc. in Chemical Engineering from Bangladesh University Of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka. CGPA: 3.16 (On a scale of 4.0)

Knowledge/skills:

(a) Knowledge of production, process and utilities.
(b) Knowledge of mechanical, instrument and electrical systems and requirements.
(c) Knowledge of fire and gas detection and ESD system.
(d) Fully familiar with permit to work system and other safety procedures.
(e) Gas processing knowledge and design of a 60 MMscfd gas processing plant under supervision of Dr. Edmond Gomez, asst. professor of PMRE, BUET Bangladesh.
(f) Awareness of hydrocarbon production hazards.
(g) Communication skills.
(h) Technical background.
(i) Good knowledge of industry best practise.
