Project Details.
a) Manufacture of White Spirit
This individual project was completed during my final semester as a part of my Under Graduation. This involved production of the desired product namely WHITE SPIRIT using Naphtha and Kerosene as feed. The work comprised of performing material balance, and energy balance calculation and detailed design of equipments namely the Distillation column including tray hydraulics (tray selection), Heat Exchanger, and Condenser and economics for the above project. The work was extended by performing a Visual Basic program for the design of Heat Exchanger, and condenser. Using this program, design of an Exchanger, condenser can be achieved for any operating flow rates.
b) Design of Rotameter
