Successfully handle the wide gamut of functions on board ranging from managing crew, monitor machinery operations while berthing and departure, during anchoring operations.
Provide training to the crew members for the processings while working during the emergency.
Design and monitor daily duty allocation and ensure efficient deployment of staff. Ensure that the agreed levels of service are delivered as per the standards and time parameters.
Lead the efforts across providing training to new recruits & technical training to old and experienced staff to increase the operational efficiency.
Supervise day to day maintenance operations at port. Keep inventory and log of materials used, conduct tests of machinery and equipment according to the rules of flag state administration and classification societies during operations such as dry docking and new vessel delivery.
Conduct checks and risk assessment before high risk operations, delegate staff and file reports on completion of the operation.
Following planned maintenance Programme makes planning of future jobs on weekly basis and ensures that they are carried out within ship’s schedule safely, following all safety regulations.
Liaise with company and shore gangs for the calibration and testing of critical safety equipment.
Optimized available resources to ensure smooth operations while ensuring proper allocation of duties.
Responsible for the management, co-ordination & administration of day to day work activities, procedures and practices for the ship.
