Piping engineer - 2 years exp

To work with an organization where I can grow along with it, by giving my best always, to achieve its goal and to act as a key player.

Working as a piping Engineer on various projects as listed below, the activities involved are –

• Generating documents such as General arrangement drawings, Equipment layout, Nozzle orientation sheets for the different mechanical equipments, Piping Layouts, isometrics, special support sketches, etc.
• Acting as a Checker for the technical deliverables for a project .Ultimately being responsible for smooth & timely executing the project with high level technical accuracy meeting with clients expectations.
• Manpower planning as per schedule, Progress reporting, Co-ordination with other departments in-house, with the Client & Vendors.
• PR & Valve Data sheet preparation.
• Reviewing of the pipe line routing, supporting and civil structure by using AutoCAD.
• Design of pipe (thickness calculations) as per various codes (ASME 31.3 etc.)
• Calculating Bill of material from the P & ID.
• Generating line list, critical line list for stress analysis from the P & IDs.
• Coordinating with Instrument and Electrical departments for finalizing cable tray layouts, MCC, PCC locations etc.
• Coordinating with Mechanical department for the freezing of nozzle orientation, vessel clip orientation for pipe supports, platforms and ladders on tanks ,vessels etc before releasing a drawing for fabrication.
• Working on 3D modeling software PLANT DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (PDMS, VER. 11.6) used for modeling of the plant. Worked on different modules of PDMS as mentioned below-
• Design module (Piping, Equipment, Structure, etc.)
• Well acquainted with the different international codes and standards used in the process industries like ASME, ANSI, API etc.
