United States Peace Corps Volunteer—Ecuador, 2006-2008
• Designed a project to promote financial development of a small indigenous community in Ecuador involving implementation of inventory systems, adding value to current products, customer demographic analysis, new marketing and pricing methods, and implementing basic accounting techniques for many of the shops in the community.
• Selected as Business/Language Liaison to be part of the training team for next group of Peace Corps Volunteers.
• Currently seeking a grant for an irrigation system to help increase blackberry crop yield for value-added product activities including making jam, marmalade and preserves in addition to the fruit already sold.
• Designed a community bank, which is a credit and savings cooperative, to educate people about saving practices, risk analysis and how credit functions.

ACTIVITIES/INTERESTS:
• Initiated effort to teach English to the Spanish speaking lawn-care workers at Washington University.
I began working with only a few of them individually my sophomore year and the program has expanded to include almost all of the Latin workers and close to fifty student volunteers. Fall 2004 -Spring2006
