Petroleum Engineer, Ph.D. / Academic Researcher

To make a career in oil & gas industry and increase my experience dealing with lithology strata, reservoir identification, and drilling with simulation and field activities. Earning a good salary to live in good standards.

1. From 1987 ~ 2000, researcher and associate professor at University of Petroleum, China in petroleum and natural gas engineering. (Assistant of drilling, Mud logging technology, etc. courses, leading to a novel logging technology (Drillstring Vibrao-acoustic Logging (DVL) Technology, I am the inventor), reservoir and fluid properties identification while drilling).
2. From 2000 ~ 2002, R&D scientist at Datalog Technology, Canada for 2 years, worked as a programmer for mud logging software. My main interests are drilling dysfunction analysis, logging method and data acquisition system.
3. Form 2003 ~ 2004, vice-General Engineer at Shanghai ShenKai Science & Technology Engineering, responsible for software architecture design and development of oil & gas industry and drilling field services.
4. From 2005 ~ present, researcher and project manager at Chinada International Development Inc. Canada, responsible for the project development, Drillstring Vibro-acoustic Logging Technology. Main achieves (done) at
a) Sensor wireless data network and data acquisition system on drilling site. Successfully application at drillstring vibration signals acquisition and data wireless transmission and processing.
b) Design and development for various signal processing circuits and rock formation information abstractor which is a key part for reservoir and lithological strata identification while drilling.
c) DVL hoop design and application to 20+ well tests have been finished. The hoop is installed at top of drillstring revolving with drill pipe.
d) Various analysis software and application.
