Effendi has approximately 8 years experience in pipeline industry covering the areas of project management, design offshore and onshore oil and gas pipelines including associated handling facilities.

• Sarawak Shell Berhad
-Conceptual and Detailed Design of 16inch pipeline from CPDR-A to F23R-A for Cili Padi project.
-Main task is to perform the subsea tie-in configuration study for the pipeline both in Conceptual and Detailed Design.
• Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd
-Detailed Design Engineering for the 10inch pipeline for J4 Field Development located in Bintulu, Sarawak.
-Detailed Design Engineering including Pipeline Wall Thickness Calculation, On-bottom Stability, Pipeline End Expansion, Pipeline Spanning, Riser Stress Analysis by using Autopipe software, Cathodic Protection Design and Installation Analysis by using OFFPIPE.
-Prepared and checked the related drawings in this project.
• Brunei Shell Petroleum
-Umbilical Stabilization Study, to analyzed and study the stability of the umbilical for the Champion Water Injection Extension Project. PlusOne software has been used in this study.
-To proposed the mitigation plan for the section of the umbilical found not stable in the analysis i.e. to introduce the articulated pipe, chain strap, wire rope piggy backed and submat mattress in order to get the extra additional weight for the umbilical.
• Kochi Refinery Project, India
-Project Management Consultant to Bharat Petroleum Inc. (India).
-Detailed Design Engineering including preparing the Engineering Report, Specification and also drawings.
-Witnessing / as a client representative during the pipeline installation.
-Witnessing the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for the buoy, which has been design and fabricated by Bluewater Energy Services.
• Exxon Mobil Exploration Production Malaysia Inc.
-Performed the Design Appraisal (IDDA) for Jerneh B project.
-Review and verify the Detailed Design Engineering report prepared by Technip Geoproduction Malaysia i.e. Pipeline Wall Thickness Calculation, On-bottom stability, Riser Analysis, Cathodic Protection Design, Pipeline End Expansion.
• Jamnagar Export Refinery Project, Reliance Inc.
-Detailed Design Engineering for 6 pipelines from SPM to onshore and platform in offshore India.
-Detailed Design Engineering including Pipeline Wall Thickness Calculation, On-bottom Stability analysis by using AGA (Level II) software, Bottom Roughness Analysis by using Offpipe software, PLEM tie-in spool analysis, Shore Approach Spool Analysis.
-Prepared part of the drawings and checked by Lead Engineer.
