Main Responsibility
„X Preparation and Periodically Review of HSE MS., HSE CASE, and HSE PLAN FOR AFAM V and VI POWER Plant.
„X Develop and implement site specific Emergency Response Plans such as emergency evacuation, MER, fire fighting and rescue, etc
„X Conversant with and implementation of OSHA, NIOSH and Nebosh Regulations like Organise of Toolbox Meeting, Preparation of Job Hazard Analysis and Sign of Permit to Work (PTW) Document for the appropriate jobs etc.

„X Supervise contractors/vendors to ensure their compliance with STEAG`s HSE Management System regulations, i.e. for spill clean up, asbestos abatement, etc.
„X Ensure HSE monitoring equipment is maintained in good working condition and calibrated as per manufacturer, State, and Federal requirements. Co-ordinate performance testing.
„X Assist regulatory personnel during site inspections.
„X Maintain emergency/safety equipment in good technical condition and perform inspections of the equipment.
„X Implement corporate policies and procedures and provide recommendations for changes as necessary condition and perform inspections of the equipment.

„X Organizing and Conducting Induction and Training for Office/ Plant Staffs, Contractors and Visitors on General HSE issues.
„X Conducting Daily Toolbox Meetings at AFAM V and VI Power plant
„X Participate in on-site HSE Audits & Inspections of AFAM V and VI Power Plant.

„X Assist in the conduct of site emergency drills & exercises.
„X Conduct unsafe acts, unsafe conditions & near-miss monitoring of AFAM V and VI Power Plant as instructed.

Presently am working as HSE Assistant for STEAG encotec W/A a subsidiary of STEAG encotec GERMANY which is the 5th largest power generation company in Germany and No 1 Independent Power Provider also in Germany. My company is presently the Operations and Maintenances Contractor to SPDC on AFAM VI Power Plant which is worth $678 million. It is a combine cycle Gas Turbine which comprises of three Gas turbine unit and one steam turbine unit and other auxiliaries like a chemical Lab., water treatment plant etc.
