Plant : Natural Gas based Ammonia Plant (900 Tons/Day)


Technology : Haldor Topsoe

Instrumentation : DCS - MOD - 300 Supplied by ABB

Responsibility :
Resource Management:
 Operation of the plant to achieve Qualitative and Quantitative targets.
 To train, guide and lead the operating staff towards common goals.
Systems Management:
• Trained as Internal Auditor and conducting internal audits for the QUALITY, ENVIRONMENT AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS.
• To Co ordinate the execution of QUALITY (ISO 9001-2000), EMS (ISO 14001), OHSAS 18001& PSMS SYSTEMS in ammonia plant.


Planning and Co-ordination:
• To prepare manpower schedules and training schedules.
• To schedule and co ordinate shut down and start up activities of the plant.
• To prepare plant reports.
• To Monitor plant Energy.
• To Monitor Chemical and raw material consumptions
• Coordinated catalyst replacement in Sulfur Absorber, Primary reformer, Secondary reformer & Low Temperature Shift Converter.
• Coordinated Catalyst scooping job in High Temperature Shift converter (Job in INERT ATMOSPHERE).
• Prepared SOPs for Ammonia Plant.
• Participated in Commissioning of Unit II, a Naphtha Based Ammonia Plant (900 Tons/day) of Topsoe Technology

Experience Abroad : Worked for pre-commissioning activities of
Ammonia Plant (1800 tons/day) and prepared SOPs for Ammonia Plant (Topsoe Technology), at Jose, VENEZUELA, South America.
