Oil Tanker Terminal Superintendent

Manage and operate Terminal with best possible efficiency keeping safety aspect paramount, and increase productivity and berth operation with excellent time management.

I have served the marine industry as Merchant Navy officer for almost 24 years, out of which about 21 were spent on tankers transporting chemicals, crude and products. I was in command of super tankers for seven years with top ship management companies like, Denholm ship management, UK and Transpetrol services Brussels, Belgium and Sandefjord, Norway.

I did my basic secondary school and college education from Pakistan. Later joined Merchant Navy as deck cadet and completed my second mate's course onboard Academy ship "Five Brooks" under the guidance and supervision of two British Extra Master's.

I am certified as Master Mariner Class I (F.G) by the government of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. I completed all my studies and associated courses from various colleges and educational institutes in the United Kingdom.

I am currently managing day to day operation and maintenance of an Oil Tanker Terminal at Port of Fujairah, UAE. The terminal is designed to accommodate vessel's upto 125,000 mt displacement. The duties include terminal administration & maintenance, vessel acceptance, safety inspection after berthing, connection/disconnection of Marine Loading Arms, overlooking and monitoring vessel's operation during the berth stay till vessel is clear of berth.
