Senior Process Engineer; Tasks Done:
•High input & supervision for the Amal (offshore) Field Development Project (Budget US $ MM 164);the project scope includes all the Engineering, Procurements & Construction activities required to upgrade the existing offshore and onshore facilities, such as;
-laying 24”, 16”, 8” & 4” offshore and onshore Pipelines
-Fabricate and install platform with 2 extensions
-Fabricate and install new pressure vessels in the onshore GOSP; Slug catcher, HP flare, Gas Lift, Water Injection, Gas Export Compressors & Metering Skid packages.Duties carried out are;
o Initiate & participate in the AFDP conceptual study, FEED and Detailed Engineering Design.
o Follow up, supervise, review, evaluate/asses and approve the FEED, Detailed Engineering process activities (i.e.; PFD’s, P&ID’s, Process Simulation Models/Results, HAZOP, etc.) through carrying out engineering and simulation cross checks.
o Participate in the preparation and the revision of Operating & Design manuals.
o Participate in undertaking the detailed studies into the execution, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and the handover phases.
•Conducting fundamental, advanced engineering and related studies initiated within the PIP general engineering, technical, New Ventures department or its Joint Venture’s (7) via suggesting performance improvements & resolutions, evaluating alternatives, seeking continuous development of the facilities and process systems and providing necessary technical support to the concerned/relevant department(s).
•Coordinate, Follow up & expedite other project related issues like the procurements services and fabrications.
3/2002-3/2005 [Siemens Axiva - TUHH]-[Germany]
Process Engineer; Duties include:
• Monitors and controls unit(s) performance with respect to capacity utilization, product yields, energy conservation, catalyst life & performance, chemical & utility usage to achieve best economic and cost effective results.
• Initiates and leads studies on de-bottlenecking, upgrading, expansion and optimum operating conditions for plants and processes.
• Phase separation models development for the safety controlled depressurization and sudden emergency venting in chemical reactors.
