Professional Experience
Summary of equipment worked on.
Over the years I have worked on most rig and camp equipment. I am proficient with all camp appliances including air conditioning. I have worked with a number of rig air systems / compressors. I have probably seen and worked on more mud systems and PVT's than most people ranging from pneumatic pit sensors to ultrasonic and everything in between. I have worked on 6 SCR powered rigs and equipment such as but not limited to, Totco, I-Mud, Garner Denver, Sullair, Posi-Stop, Caterpillar, Icr, Ips, Ross Hill, Baylor, Gai Tronics, Appleton, Killark, GE and Tesco Topdrives. I have extensive knowledge of earthing systems including lightning protection, static discharge and hazardous locations as well as different wiring systems as a whole (I have worked on Australian, American and Canadian fitted rigs). I am conversant with the relative API standards as well as the Australian wiring rules and various petroleum regulations. I can trouble shoot, read schematics and manuals and interpret them and have run PMS systems. I have extensive knowledge of intercom and telephony systems ranging from PABX's to satellite communications.
