Professional Experience
HSE Engineer
Rsponsibilities:
· Advise middle and top management on regulatory and corporate HSE requirements
· Review, approve and monitor the implementation of EIA’s, Project HSE Plans and Bridging Documents
· Prepare project HSE Plans
· Development of Contractor HSE Management Program
· Development of Oil Spill Clean-up guidelines for wetlands
· Perform contractor technical bid evaluations and performance monitoring
· Write HSE paragraph of contracts
· Conduct Project HSE Reviews
· Conduct Chemical HSE Reviews
· Develop and update HSE procedures, manuals, handbooks including ERP
· Participate in JSAs, HAZIDs, HAZOPs
· Conduct Incident Investigations and investigate HSE complaints
· Monitor incident statistics
· Analyze environmental monitoring data and advise management
· Develop and revise company’s HSE Policy and advise on corporate HSE objectives and targets
· Conduct HSE inspections and monitor recommendations
· Develop and conduct HSE training programs for all levels of staff
· Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with statutory authorities
· Keep track of HSE legislative and regulative requirements and ensure compliance
· Assist in the implementation of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
· Guide undergraduate students during their thesis
· On behalf of the company, lecture at the University as guest.
Eductation
Bachelor degree in Environmental Sciences
Thesis: Initial Environmental Review of the State Oil Company of Suriname based on ISO 14001: 1996
· Conduct a Gap Analysis
· Prepare a Register of Environmental Legislation, regulations and Standards
· Identify and analyze upstream environmental aspects and impacts
· Prepare a Register of environmental aspects and impacts
Certification
August 2006 : “Nogepa 0.5a-Offshore safety introduction and emergency response training” (including HUET)
