Senior Project Engineer , Maintenance Engineer

I can work as project engineer or mechanical maintenance engineer for rotating equipments.

Prior to my transfer to HQ in September 2007, I have worked as an Assistant Mechanical Engineer in one of Powertek’s subsidiary CCGT plant (Pahlawan Power) which consists of 2 units of Frame 9 E GE Gas Turbine and 1 unit GE 270T347 Steam Turbine for 2 and half years. My duty involves maintenance planning, outage planning, troubleshooting as well procurement of spares for the gas turbines, steam turbine and the balance of plant equipments (HRSG, Pumps, Motors and etc). Apart from that, I have successfully developed condition monitoring program for the rotating equipments in the plant which includes infrared thermography inspection, vibration analysis as well as laser alignment. I have now obtained Level 2 Infrared Thermography Certification, Level 1 Vibration Analysis, Level 1 Laser alignment.

Secondly, I have managed to solve the 6.6 KV Circulating Pumps vibration problem. We have 2 units of 10m length vertical circulating pumps that pump sea water to the condenser for cooling. One of them had severe vibration and several impeller failures since 2005. We had performed vibration analysis on the pump and successfully located the root cause of the problem which was due to excessive gap between the impeller and casing. The pumps were performing normally since then.

I have also witnessed a 110 MW Steam Turbine bowed rotor repair.The experience had increased my knowledge on Steam Turbine tremendously.

In year 2005, Tanjong had implemented SAP system to all its subsidiary companies. I was appointed to drive and implement SAP system in my power plant (one full cycle). Working together with SAP project team, I had successfully drafted the work flow to be used in SAP and managed to prepare the entire database for the transportation to SAP system for both the Material Master & Plant Maintenance modules. Prior to going live, we had successfully performed UAT (User Acceptance Test) to ensure the system’s work flow was flawless & tailored to suit our requirements. I have been assigned as the key user for the system. Continuously I had provided guidelines and training to the company’s staffs. I had also developed UAT scripts for several occasions. I am proficient in the SAP tasks both in MM and PM modules.
