Construction & Contracts Manager

I really am looking forward to working overseas again in some type of challenging situation in Construction Project Management and or Commercial Contracts Management

With over twenty five years of experience internationally in the construction and engineering industries, I was exposed to a wide range of technical and logistical problems and possess thorough understanding of project management principles, such as, planning and scheduling, design and constructability reviews, contract management and the handling of claims, estimating and cost control, and their application in real world situations. Having hands-on experience in the Oil & Gas Industry and their closely related counterparts such as Power Generation Plants, Petrochemical Processing, Oily Water/Hazardous Waste Control from the planning stages, detailed design and all the way through construction and commissioning I believe I have a more thorough understanding of the contractual issues and their solutions. I combine this background and experience with the client’s objectives to ensure that problems are minimized by identifying areas of concern early on and developing the appropriate corrective action necessary to minimize risks and any potential loss.

My educational background consists of over 140 Semester Units of undergraduate coursework in Civil Engineering and Land Surveying.
I have over 50 Semester Units of graduate level coursework in Business, Management and Law.
Presently, I am enrolled in a Master's Degree Program in Construction Project Management at the University of California, Berkeley which I will complete in 2009. I will be able to complete this online so it will not affect my job.
After that I have planned to enroll in another Graduate Program in Construction Law either in the USA or UK.
