Sr. QA/QC Engineer

Quality Assurance
1. Reviewing contracts, project specification and establishing quality resource requirements (manpower, inspection instruments, outsourcing work).
2.Preparing Contract Quality Plan, Inspection & Test Plans, Work Procedures, Work Instructions.
3. Putting in place quality audit requirements, preparation of internal audit schedule and carry out audits at different construction sites.
4. Conducting job awareness programme e.g. Welding control, dimensional control, electrode waste control, Arc down time control etc.

Welding Operations
1 Preparing, reviewing & approving of Welding Procedure Specifications, Arranging and witnessing welding procedure qualification.
2. Witnessing & evaluating destructive tests results at laboratories.
3. Approximating total welding M/C, accessories requirement and monitoring the usage.
4. Observing welder qualification tests, preparing and approving welders certificates
5 Monitoring welder performance through NDT %age coverage and repair rates.
6. Administering welding surveillance with welding inspectors.

Inspection Operations
1.Developing and implementing testing procedures and systems as well as arranging testing facilities for various tests.
2.Conducting in-house testing & Inspection with personal involvement to control Quality.
3. Undertaking material (Pipes, Fittings, Valves, Structural) inspection at vendor shop, reviewing material certificates and certifying materials for despatch.
4.Carrying out stage wise inspection during fabrication such as (material verification, assembly inspection, weld visual inspection, dimensional verification etc).
5. Witnessing and checking NDT e.g (review of RT films, DPT, MT, PAMI, Hardness witness)
6. Coordinating with subcontractor (e.g. NDT, Painting & Insulation, Refractory) for inspection and certification of their work
7. Undertaking ultrasonic testing on T, K, Y joints of offshore structures.
8. Monitoring Heat Treatment (Preheat & Post weld heat) on weld and review of PWHT charts.
9. Conducting pre commissioning checks, review & approval of test packs for testing, witnessing Hydro / pneumatic tests.
11. Certifying the inspection dossier for the compliance of work as per specifications.
