• Accountable for teams’ adherence to the company’s Procurement Policies and for commodity-specific quality results like Coal, FO, RM, Packaging etc., Reviewing feasibility of the projects in terms of location, resources etc and plans of their execution with formulating Contracting strategies, Monitor the current market environment for changing market conditions & external factors that affect the business & develop strategies & tactics to respond to them in a timely manner, & take appropriate action.
• Accountable for negotiating and revising contracts with all suppliers/ contractors/ service providers (Electrical/ Mechanical/ Instrumentation/ Civil/ Land and Utility Services) and including all of the company's required terms & conditions, leading and institutionalizing procurement process & tool improvements for all major suppliers, such as supplier strategic and capacity plans, value chain analysis, logistics optimization etc,
• Accountable for Tendering bid evaluation, Strategic tie-ups, JV’s, PPP’s, Bidding, preparing commercial clarifications, negotiation, contract administration and dispute resolution, Monitor & manage field progress and project cost reports on an ongoing basis, Guide the Project Management team & institute appropriate systems & controls to achieve operational & profitability goals and to drive continuous improvements.
• Dealing with the Govt authorities and Ministries for allotment of Land, Coal linkage, Power regulatory, Industrial development authorities, department of Industries and Mines.
