Complete adoption and periodic revisions of Quality procedures for Standard functioning of a QC/QA Laboratory in accordance to Certified Standards.

Assists the Q.C. Chief Manager to supervise all activities concerning the quality control of about 500, 260, 300, 90, & 115 KT/annum Ethylene, Propylene, Motor Spirit, Butadiene & Benzene products respectively & the related raw materials, Polymer additives and to maintain the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Assurance System.
Quality Assurance & Quality Control Laboratory job in Naphtha Cracker & its Associated Units and working in shifts as a Shift Supervisor.

* Shift wise Supervision of Complete Hydrocarbon & Water analysis.
* Timely release of test results to plant through LIMS.
* Issuance of Quality Certificates for products and Raw Materials.
* Quality Clearance of Raw & Production Materials through SAP.
* Method Development & Customer Service as & when required.
* SOP preparation, trouble shooting of all analytical Instruments.
* Calibration of Methods on a predefined frequency & documentations as per ISO.
* Maintaining analysis data’s record & preparing daily & monthly Lab. reports.
* Providing training to Juniors on water and Hydrocarbon samples analysis.
* Maintaining high safety standards in all working places.
* Knowledge of commissioning & start-up activities of QA & QC Laboratory in
Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd.
* Participating in TQM related jobs through training & SIPs (Small Improvement
Programs).

Knowledge Parameters :
In depth idea in Gas Chromatography (Perkin Elmer & Varian Make) with TCD, FID, FPD, NPD, PFPD & Methanizer; and all other Analytical Instrument relevant to Petrochemicals like IROX-2000, XRF, CFR Engine (RON/MON), Micro-coulometer, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, AAS, Particle Size Analyzer, FTIR, Bomb Calorimeter, Viscometers (Redwood & Brookfield), Distillation - Auto & manual, Flash Point Apparatus (COC, Pensky Mertain), Shaw Dew Point Meter, TOC, Auto Titrators-Metrohm, Teledyne Oxygen Meter, Density Meter, Gum Tester, Reid Vapour Pressure Apparatus etc. Comprehensive idea regarding wet analysis of petro-chemicals & water (Cooling water, Boiler water, plant condensates).

Product Knowledge (regard to specific Quality parameters):
CBFS, Benzene, Cyclopentane, C4-LPG, HPG, RPG, Motor Spirit, Butadiene.

Raw Materials:
Knowledge of Raw Materials analysis like Naphtha, Butene-1, Hexane, Methanol, NaNO2, NMP, MEG, NaNO2 etc. & Polymer additives.

ØPassed B. Sc. in Chemistry (Hons.) in the year of 1988 from N.B.U., India.

M.Sc. Chemistry with 17 years 3 months experience in Q.C and Q.A
Petrochemicals and Chemicals Lab.; including pre-commissioning, commissioning,
preparation & setup of Laboratory test methods for Hydrocarbon & Water analysis of Naphtha Cracker & its Associated Units; analysis of monomer & co-monomer of Polymers (HDPE, LLDPE & PP), & the related raw materials, polymer additives with maintaining high standard in ISO 9001:2000 Quality Assurance System and high Laboratory safety standards.
