• Sourcing of equipment and material for material requests from various departments.
• Preparation of evaluation sheets of vendor bids, recommends vendor for order placement.
• Issuance of purchase order after proper negotiation on the basis of technical as well as commercial evaluation.
• Raises purchase / service orders.
• Conducts market surveys on equipment & material, searching for potential new vendors and improved prices.
• Close liaison with both fields (Sawan & Kadanwari) for their special project related requirement and follow up with vendors for delivery of material.
• Supervise, mentor and provide guidance to assigned procurement personnel in regards to materials specifications, supply and delivery issues with OEM’/Suppliers & senior discipline engineers, outside and within organization.
• Coordinate in the process of technical evaluation of offers for materials supply that involve change or substitution recommendations.
• Tender / Bid opening and evaluations.
• Arrangement of all International Shipments.
• Negotiating with foreign vendors on commercial issues like payment terms, delivery dates.
