· Provides input to the Life Cycle Management Program to ensure network devices are maintained in accordance to published standards.
· Brief superiors and subordinates on network engineering related matters.
· Provide solutions that minimize risk to the network and mission based on information security and assurance.
· Assist Information Assurance Officer with development, implementation, and enforcement of Information Assurance policies and procedures.
· Assists with pack up, load out, and setup of deployable communications systems. May serve as part of the deployment support team.

· Database security standards.
· Backup and restore databases.
· Maintain archived data on appropriate storage devices.
· Enroll users and maintain database security.
· Monitor database performance.
· Install and upgrade database software.
· Work with database software to resolve issue and obtain information.
· To be able to handle clustering of database.
· To be capable of optimizing queries and provide suggestions to optimize queries.
· Able to apply proper indexing for fast query response.
· Knowledge of SQL & PL/SQL would also be added advantage
