Safety Engineer

Seeking the position of a HSE Engineer/Manager in a growth-oriented Petrochemical/EPC Company in India/ Gulf/ Europe.

? Identifying occupational health and safety problems and recommending preventive measures.
? Minimizing fire hazards by inspection, layout of facilities and modifying work procedure.
? Achieving productivity, profitability and quality by effective utilization of human resources.
? Conducting work place inspection and safety audit.
? Introducing safety campaign and organising staff awareness and encouragement programs.
? Analysing and determining training needs, preparing and customizing training materials accordingly.
? Conducting risk assessments, method statements and job safety analysis with regard to prevention, protection and insurance cover.
? Analyses accidents and safety problems, determine causes, and recommends appropriate measures to prevent recurrence of such accidents.
? Follow up critical maintenance activities, confined space entries and hot jobs in the process units during normal and shutdown activities.
? Investigating and preparing preliminary reports on accidents or “near miss” situations.
? Organizing and providing effective training on fire-fighting and emergency preparedness.
? Conducting periodic audit of plants and building, suggesting corrective action and doing follow up on implementations.
? Initiating safety campaign, safety contest, staff suggestion system, staff encouragement and health & wellness programs.
? Preparing and customizing of Course / Training materials according to the training needs.
? Identifying hazardous materials, unsafe conditions/acts, advising on effective measures to prevent loss/damage and developing safe working method.
? Maintaining statutory records to meet government/client requirements.

1) Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA.
2) NEBOSH International General Certificate from Corporate Health and Safety Solution (CHSS Gulf), Dubai.
3) Diploma in Industrial Safety from National institute of Labour Education & Management (NILEM), Chennai, INDIA.
4) Diploma in Fire & Safety Management from National Institute of Labour Education & Management(NILEM), Chennai, INDIA.
5) Diploma in Environment & Pollution Control from National Institute of Labour Education & Management(NILEM), Chennai, INDIA.
