SENIOR INSTRUMENT CONTROL SYSTEM ENGINEER

•18 years of Petrochemical , Oil and Aromatics Plant experience. In that 13 Years of Design, Project Engineering, Management, Installation and Commissioning of Instrumentation and Control Systems and 5 Years of Plant Maintenance experience.
•Specification, Data Sheet preparation, Selection, Design Package preparation, Evaluation, Inspection, Erection and implementation i.e Concept to Commissioning of Control System & Instrumentation.
•Improving Reliability, Root cause failure analysis and Maintenance of Process Control Instruments, DCS & PLC.
•Presently working as Senior Instrument Control System Engineer with Aromatics Oman LLc - an unit of Oman Oil Company since Jan 2006.
•Work as Instrument Lead to closely monitor the DCS, ESD , Field Instrumentation part of EPC being done by the Contractor GS (E & C) for this 1.8 Bn USD complex. Was posted at their Seoul office for 8 months to review the Engineering and Procurement activities of this Project, which shall go on production by August 2009.
•Worked extensively with Process Licensor AXENS ( IFP, France ) and FEED Contractor Jacobs Consultant U.K, to finalise the Design Basis for this Aromatics Project.
•Reviewed all Engineering Documents, Purchase Documents, Inspection Test Procedures for Acceptance Tests, Installation and Commissioning of Instrument and Control System.
•Team Leader of the Company’s FAT Team for DCS–ESD-FGS at Honeywell, S. Korea. The DCS is Honeywell EPKS with 5200 hardwired I/Os, 18000 SCADA I/Os. ESD is Safety Manager of Honeywell with around 1600 I/Os.
•Worked as Staff Process Control Engineer in Design Management Department of SABIC Shared Services from May to Dec 2005.
•Was Instrument Engineer at Project Engineering Department of Saudi Yanbu Petrochemical Co. ( j.v of EXXON- MOBIL & SABIC ) from Jul 2002 to April 2005. Worked regularly with MOBIL Engineering Standards and Specification of Control System and Instrument for Project implementation
•Was Superintendent -Control & Instrumentation with a Chevron Company at Chennai, India. Responsible for Engineering and Maintenance of Honeywell make TDC3000, and all Instrumentation of the Plant.
•Worked as Senior Engineer- Instrumentation at the World Class Gas Cracker Complex - Indian Petrochemicals Corp. Ltd (IPCL) Nagothane, India.

•Passed 4 years Full time course - Bachelor of Engineering in Instrumentation & Control in First Class (72%) from Govt. College of Technology, Bharathiar University, TN, India in 1987.
•Completed the MCSE Course curriculum at Asset International, which included modules on Networking Essentials, NT Administration, NT Server, TCP/IP, SQL Server and NT Enterprise in 2000
•Two week course on Experion Process Knowledge Solution at Honeywell, UAE in 2007.
•Workshop on Instrumentation for 21st century at World Trade Center, Singapore.
•Three week course on DCS INFI-90 at ELSAG BAILEY - Singapore
•Course on HAZOP Study conducted by Process Improvement Institute, USA at Yanbu, KSA.

•Fifteen-week course on Instrumentation Software Applications at Pentasoft, Chennai. The course covered in detail VC++, VB, COM, OPC, SCADA – INTELLUTION - FIX 32 , PLC- AB SLC5/03 and DCS Centum3000. This Part time course was sponsored by Chevron coy to update me on the latest Software and Engineering Techniques used in all the present day Open Process Control Systems.
