Maintenance Technician
Working on a shift basis and undertaking a range of work including.
• Involved in the installation, commissioning, corrective preventive maintenance, troubleshooting repair and maintenance of water injection plant which included a range of equipment such as.
o All field and plant instrumentation including Foxboro Spec200, Allen Bradley PLC 20 Logic Controller and Microprocessors for the gas turbine controls.
o All electronic and pneumatic instruments and controls associated with gas turbines, Sulzer type 7 Powering Sulzer HPCP 200-330 – 58/26 Water injection pumps, Sulzer Type 3 Gas; turbine powering a 6.3 MW Brown Bovers generator as well as their attendant switchgear, synchronization, invertors, ups systems.
o Ingersoll Rand air compressors, Oil and Gas Plant equipment including production and test separator.
• Visiting other sites when needed to assist in the commissioning and troubleshooting of new installations – i.e. gas compression and oil pumping stations; gas and oil suppression plants; gas sweetening plants.
• I have worked in all of stages of the oil and gas process from bringing the oil to the service by natural or artificial mean such as water injection, gas lift and down hole pumping system through the GOSP for separations and treatment to the shipping stage.
• Assist in overhaul, repair, replace defective parts, calibrate, and carries out necessary tests, tuning and performance monitoring upon start up this includes
o Stare up and control systems for Ge frame 3&5 and Brown Bovers gas turbine.
o Control valves, relief valves and solenoid valves pneumatic or electrically operated.
o Pneumatic and electronic positioner, recorder, gauges, indicators and regulators.
o Pneumatic and electronic transmitters for flow, pressure, level and temperature measurement.
o Turbine flow meter, Positive Displacement meters and DP cell based metering systems.
