Terminal activities related to the receipt, storage, blending, heater operation, quality control and delivery of the product during the shift. Product movement, operations ex refinery via pipe line or tanker.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Product Receipt Operations:
Tanker/Barge: Guiding the vessel berthing in line with the allocated manifold, sampling and gauging of ship's tanks, operating the hydraulic loading arm, connecting the loading arm. Communicating with terminal/ship for commencement of discharge/loading. Periodic checking of discharging/loading product quality and quantity and comparing the figures with shore. Periodic ship and shore Safety Check as per the safety checklist. Gauging and lining up of the shore tank, checking of the line qty, etc. at terminal end.

PRODUCT STORAGE
PRODUCT VALUE ADDITION/BLENDING
• Heating of Asphalt grades by operating the heater, lining up of the heating oil, monitoring to maintain the min. required temperature.
PRODUCT LOADING/DELIVERY
Responsible for carrying out the operations related to the product delivery by the following modes:
• Tanker
• Barge
• Pipeline
• Tank Truck
• Drum filling
TANKER HANDLING
• Berthing the Tankers.
• Collecting and recording of all relevant timings in the tanker log.
• Assist the shift controller in ship's tank inspection, ullaging, sampling and calculation.
• Connecting the Loading Arm/Hoses.
• Assist the shift controller for completing ship shore safety check list.
• Discharge performance monitoring by collecting/checking and recording the hourly discharge/loading rate, pressure, product qty and sample density.
• Need to maintain effective communication between the ship and all other related shore agencies through out the operation.
SAFETY-QAS/EMS
Responsible for the following:
• Ensure that all the shift activities are performed safely as per the company safety procedures and guidelines and in compliance with all the applicable local regulations.
• Maintain high level of emergency preparedness.
• Work as a team with others to promote a safety culture in all the employees.
• Adhere to laid down quality control procedures during all the operations.
• Advise any variation, non-conformity to the concerned to close all gaps.
• Monitoring of all the related EMS programs.
• Maintaining the required quality records.
