• Contribute with other engineer and end user to develop cost effective, safe and fit for
purpose design solutions to meet requirements.
• Carry duty and responsability for all areas of work covered in instrument
engineering for projects and plant change request including all field instrumentation,
control systems, fire and gas detection systems, emergency shutdown systems,
analysers, control valves, pressure relief valves and other auxiliary equipment.
• Recommend appropriate solutions and propose changes as necessary with
supporting technical data.
• Prepare specifications and equipment data sheets.
• Check the adequacy of designs produced by others, to ensure fitness for purpose and
technical quality, in terms of providing safe environmentally acceptable facilities, in
compliance with the BFD, codes, standards, procedures and specifications.
