Designated as Deputy Manager, the job involves purchasing of Capital equipment for the onshore rigs awaiting deployment & day to day procurement activities for Offshore Rig Essar WildCat at Visakhapatnam. The job involves interacting with operations and assisting in raising the CAPEX list. It involves collecting the appropriate specification in accordance to the requirement, floating enquiries, sourcing out the appropriate equipment from the suppliers, evaluation of bids, negotiate and order placement. Also involved in following up with pending order and interaction with accounts for advance or payments release and handling other supplier issues. Co-ordinate with the freight forwarder to ensure he material reaches final destination as per operational requirements.Reporting to General Manager-Purchase.

2. DALMA ENERGY & Co.LLC(www.dalmaenergy.com)(JAN 2006 – JAN 2007)OMAN
Working as a Purchase Officer, the key activities involve processing indents: understanding requests from the rig and formalizing the same as per the standards and PDO specifications, raise RFQ’s and analyzing the same, negotiate with suppliers, releasing Purchase Orders and following up with supplier for pending deliveries. Co-ordinate with the freight forwarder to ensure material reaches the stores at the earliest and co-ordinate with stores for quick dispatch with stores. Supplier correspondence in case of material discrepancies and other supplier issues. Trying to improve the existing process and strengthen the supply chain process. Involved in identifying optimal stock levels and ordering material for base stock. Profile also involves interacting with existing supplier and developing strategic alliances with suppliers. Also involved in preparing the MIS for the entire operations of Muscat Base office.
Reporting to Materials Manager-Puchase.
