A dynamic professional with over 19 years of rich experience in Strategic Planning, Enterprise GIS implementation, Urban GIS and Land Information System using GIS and Remote Sensing tools and techniques and Team Management. Presently working with Property Affairs Directorate, Royal Court, Kingdom of Bahrain as GIS Projects Manager. Adept at all project management aspects of GIS and IT projects. Capable of building sustainable development models for ground water, minerals, fossil fuel and other natural resources utilisation.
More than 15 years of experience in organisational programs. Last ten years worked for client site projects in GCC countries namely Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Kingdom of Bahrain. Was direct associate of major GIS and Remote Sensing solution providers in GCC e.g. ESRI, Intergraph and ERDAS. Possessing entire development life cycle experience of several medium to large scale GIS projects. Conversant in ISO quality procedures related to spatial data production and quality assurance.
Proficient in evolving cost reduction, production engineering techniques and creating a team work environment to enhance productivity innovatively for organizations. In-depth knowledge in GIS data model and geospatial database creation, business applications design and development on client-server and internet GIS platforms. A keen planner, strategist & implementer with expertise in planning & execution of Geological / Remote Sensing / GIS projects. Expertise in handling the complete project operations entailing planning, resource utilization, reporting & manpower management. Project Management: Managing projects with respect to Cost, Resource Deployment, Time over-runs, Quality Compliance and Manpower planning to ensure timely and successful closure of projects. Conducting project review meetings for evaluating project progress & taking adequate corrective actions if required. Developing project teams and enhancing their productivity.
Onsite Operations (Exploration): Formulating and establishing reconnaissance plans and strategies for ensuring completion of exploration assignments in the set time frame. Preparing geological maps from surface geological mapping & from subsurface geoscientific data.
Remote Sensing/ Geographic Information Systems (RS/GIS): Collecting and analyzing data from hard copy maps, aerial photographs and satellite images. Studying the ground surveys and reports and updating digital databases of GIS. Overseeing production of the maps and reports. Verifying accuracy of map information by field checks and collateral data checks. Executing spatial data conversion by automated/semi-automated workflows on an enterprise level. Maintaining the geospatial database covering the vital aspects of data integrity, access privileges, version upgrades and physical migration. Reporting the GIS utilization trends and future demands. Quality compliance in project/system/organizational knowledge base and lessons learned documentation.
