- Prepared Standard Operating Procedures for smooth start up and shutdown of the Crude unit..
- Reviewed the Trip logics of Nash Package, Compressor, Motor operated valves & Desalter.
- Prepared pre-commissioning schemes such as Nitrogen purging, air blowing, chemical cleaning, steam blowing, pigging, etc, for process piping and utility systems.
- Reviewed the P&IDs from precommissioning, commissioning and start up point of view and prepared comments.
- Checking of Isometric Drawings with respect to P&IDs of unit and calculation of hold-up volume of equipment and piping.
- Development of the schemes for handling various emergencies like; total power failure in the complex, cooling water failure, steam failure, instrument air failure etc. and safe shutdown of the unit.
- Estimation of the utility requirement during the start up, shutdown and various emergencies of the unit.
