Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd. (GSFC)

Presently working with Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd. It is India's one of the largest fertilizers & chemical complexes ($500 Million turnover) having ISO 9001 2000 certificate,
I am working in Caprolactam expansion plant. which was under commissioning stage when I joined the GSFC. I have been associated with plant erection, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities of Caprolactam Plant (50000 mtpa of Caprolactam and 1,16,000mtpa Of Amm. Sulphate). Process know how from M/S BASF Germany & Detailed Eng. By UHDE, Germany). Caprolactam as well as Ammonium Sulphate as by product. Plant is well facilitating with the world's then latest state of art Yokogawa DISTRIBUTED CONTROL SYSTEM (DCS)". Having rich experience to work with BASF - Germany's commissioning team. Commissioning activities like punch list, inspection of pipeline diagram in field with P&ID, Hydro testing of lines, Flushing of lines, Calibration of Instruments.

Also Involved in the day-to-day shift operation, routine safe and efficient operation of the plant equipments, trouble shooting of the plant problems, well understanding of work permit system & industrial safety practices and procedures, preparation of lines or equipments for the maintenance jobs.
Unit Operation like Distillation, Extraction, Drying of Oxime, crystallization, Evaporation, Scrubbing, Concentration, Cyclone seperation, Drying of AS,and Bagging too.

Unit Process like Beckman’s rearrangement reaction which is highly exothermic.


I am also member of the Emergency Support Team.

Previous Job & work Profile:

Reliance Petrochemicals Ltd., Hazira, Gujarat:

I worked with Reliance Petrochemicals Ltd during November 1990 to January 1993. I was working in MEG plant where also handled exothermic reaction, cryogenic chemical like liquid nitrogen, oxygen, ethylene oxide.

Unit Operation like Distillation, absorbtion, stripper, chillers, centrifugal compressor as well as multi stage compressor, multi stage centrifugal pump. Ethylene tanker filling. Nitrogen tanker filling and unloading.

I worked with GHCL during Dec 1987 to Nov 1990 as a first job after completion of my BSc education.
