APC Development and Commissioning Engineer

Manager - Production, of Purified Terepthalic Acid (PTA) Plant. Involved all through its erection, commissioning and startup phases, I am proficient in its operation and troubleshooting. Presently working with its de-bottlenecking design team and as its APC implementation Team Leader.

Job Responsibilities:

• Planning and Coordination with Service Departments
• Material Balance and Optimization Calculations with P&ID Development.
• Well-versed with pre-commissioning aspects of Isometrics, Hydro-tests, Tie-Ins, P&ID Reviews and compiling Vendor data.
• Handling of Yokogawa (CS3000) DCS with intense commissioning experience and Advanced Process Control development team leader.
• Audits for ISO, Kaizen and 5-S Implementation
• Economic evaluation of new modifications and development of equipment performance specifications along with writing detailed engineering reviews.
• Supervision of major maintenance works including annual shut down and start-up planning. Conduct Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSUSR) of a new process/modification including HAZOP and HAZID studies.
• Six-Sigma Green Belt with continual experience with SPC.
• Ensure maintenance of company/statutory EHS standards and fulfill TSCA responsibilities.
• Experience on ASPEN, HYSIS and ASPEN-DMC Simulation Software.
• Well-versed in engineering concepts of Distillation (also azeotropic), absorption, particle technology and most other unit operations.
• Conduction of Knowledge sharing sessions and presentations keeping abreast with latest developments, with in-depth knowledge of computers, and popular design software.
